Tailoring Form, Transforming Function
Research Interests
We develop synthetic methods to fine-tune molecular structure. By streamlining access to precisely perturbed analogs, we aim to accelerate the discovery of new function across the molecular sciences.

Fine-Tuning Structure
From medicines to catalysts, subtle changes in shape yield transformative differences in molecular function. We will remove synthetic barriers to molecular design with tools to directly access custom-fit analogs of lead scaffolds.

Fitting Transition States
We identify structural and electronic properties that differentiate transition states from ground states. We design catalysts that exploit those differences to access new reactivity and selectivity.

Our Approach to
Mentoring:
We put people first. The way we approach everything else—mentorship, training, research, success—stems from prioritizing the well-being and growth of the people on our team.
Training Scientists:
Our approach to training is centered on continual growth. We will work together to identify your professional and scientific goals and how you can grow to achieve them. I will provide the resources and support for you to bring your goals to fruition.
Science:
We start by asking how chemistry can serve society. As we develop solutions, we look for Nature to shine through cracks in the prevailing dogma. When your experiments challenge your textbook, we are onto something exciting.
